Last Day in the Canal System :)



Urger was the very first motorized Canal boat. It was built in 1901. Before this mules walked along beside the canal pulling barges of people and goods back and forth.

This is one of the many little tugs owned by the NY Canal Corp. You will notice it carries both an American and Canadian flag.

This is the last one. Lock 8 of the Oswego Canal ...and that my friends is Lake Ontario !!

We went to chinese buffet then spent the night at the Oswego Marina. At 7 am they stepped our masts. We put the sails & shrouds on and headed to Fairhaven Yacht Club in Little Sodus Bay NY for vacation !!!
